Days passed...
It was the twelfth day since the birth of the Bhardvaj family's little heir.
And today was special.
It was the day of the baby's naming ceremony.
The entire Bhardvaj haveli was alive with celebration.
The halls and courtyards were being beautifully decorated, while servants moved here and there, busy with the arrangements. The sound of preparations filled every corner of the haveli.
Savitri was dressed beautifully in a royal red saree, adorned with elegant jewellery. Even though she looked radiant, she was still weak after childbirth. Sitting for too long was difficult for her, and every now and then she had to carefully adjust herself.
Nearby, Raghuvir was dressed just as royally, looking every bit like the proud father of the family's newborn heir.
Aama too was dressed beautifully for the occasion, her face glowing with happiness.
Outside, the preparations were even grander.
Several Pandits had arrived and were preparing everything for the puja and naming ceremony.
And in another part of the haveli, the confectioners were already busy preparing mountains of sweets and food.
After all-
This wasn't just a celebration for the Bhardvaj family.
The entire village was going to be invited.
Today, everyone would come to celebrate the arrival of the little one who had brought a new kind of happiness into the Bhardvaj haveli.
And before the day was over...
the baby would finally receive his name.
The Pandit ji looked toward the family and gently called out,
"Bachche ko aur maa ko lekar aaiye..."
Aama immediately stepped forward and carefully took the baby into her arms.
"De, main munne ko le jaati hoon."
Raghuvir turned toward Savitri and gently offered her his arm.
"Chal... dheere-dheere."
Savitri slowly got up, still feeling weak. She carefully held onto Raghuvir's arm as he supported her with every step.
"Dheere... zyada zor mat dena," he murmured.
Savitri gave him a small smile.
"Ji..."
Together, they slowly made their way toward the puja area, while Aama walked beside them, lovingly holding the little baby close to her.
Raghuvir carefully helped Savitri sit down, making sure she was properly settled and comfortable before letting go of her.
Aama gently placed the baby into Savitri's arms.
Savitri looked down at her little son with a soft smile, holding him close.
The Pandit ji then looked toward Raghuvir.
"Pita... apna aasan grahan karein."
Raghuvir quietly took his place beside Savitri, settling onto the aasan carefully.
The Pandit ji began arranging the puja items in front of them while the other Pandits prepared everything for the ceremony.
Savitri gently adjusted the baby in her arms, looking down at him with a tired but proud smile.
Raghuvir glanced at her, then at their little son.
For a moment, the noise of the bustling haveli seemed to fade away.
Today, they were not just celebrating the birth of their son.
They were about to give him his name.
The Pandit ji began the puja, chanting the sacred mantras as the haveli slowly settled into a peaceful, devotional atmosphere.
After the puja, the Pandits gathered around and began preparing the baby's Panchang and kundali.
They carefully noted down the details of his birth, calculating his rashi and examining his kundali.
One of the Pandit ji suddenly paused.
He looked at the baby for a moment, then at the kundali in his hands.
A small smile appeared on his face.
"Bachcha ka chhota sa naam hoga... Ram."
He looked toward the family.
"Ya phir... Raman."
Everyone listened quietly.
The Pandit ji continued, looking once again at the kundali.
"Iska janam bahut hi shubh samay mein hua hai."
He smiled.
"Iski rashi Vrishabh hai."
He looked at the little baby lovingly.
"Ye ati balwan hoga... dhanwan hoga... sabka priya hoga..."
He paused for a moment before adding,
"Aur sthir-chit hoga."
The Pandit ji smiled softly as he looked at the kundali once again.
"Iska janam Karak Lagna ka hai... isliye..."
He glanced at the little baby and continued,
"Chanchal hoga, madhur bhojan karne wala, dhanwan aur ati balwan hoga...or...danwir hoga "
He paused for a moment, his expression turning slightly thoughtful.
"Kintu... ati krodhi bhi ho sakta hai."
Savitri looked down at little Raman, then glanced at Raghuvir with a soft smile.
"Par... isko toh apne pita ji jaisa hona chahiye na..., shaant."
Raghuvir smiled softly at Savitri and glanced at little Raman.
"Arey... shaant toh hoga hi. Lekin thoda sa mera jaisa hoga or thora gussa kare ga to kya hua?"
Savitri gave him a playful look.
"Thoda sa?"
Raghuvir chuckled.
"Achha baba... zyada nahi."
The Pandit ji smiled at their little nok-jhok and looked back at Raman's kundali.
aur sunder mitro wala hoga
Savitri giggled softly, looking at Raghuvir with a teasing smile.
"Achha ji... toh aap bhi sundar aapke pita bhi sunder , aur ab aapke dost bhi?"
Raghuvir immediately looked at her, slightly offended.
"Arey! Ab meri sundarta par bhi sawaal uthayegi?"
Savitri tried to suppress her laughter.
"Main toh bas poochh rahi thi..."
Raghuvir shook his head with a playful smile.
"Tu bhi na, Savitri... Pandit ji kundali bata rahe hain aur tujhe meri hi padi hai."
Aama immediately scolded Raghuvir, shaking her head.
"Arey, tu chup rehta hai ki nahi? Kitna bolta hai tu! Achha hai woh... teri tarah nahi hai."
Raghuvir made a small offended face, but before he could say anything, Savitri let out another soft giggle.
"Aama... aap bhi na."
Aama smiled and looked fondly at little Raman.
"Ab tu bas bhi kar. Aaj toh poora din isi ki kundali sunne de."
Raghuvir glanced at the Pandit ji and then at his son.
"Achha, Pandit ji... aur kya likha hai hamare laal ke bhagya mein?"
The Pandit ji looked at the kundali for a few moments, his expression turning thoughtful.
"Ek baat aur hai..."
Everyone looked toward him.
"Iske swabhav mein thoda kathorpan aa sakta hai... aur stree-paksh ke prati kuch doori ya rosh bhi ho sakta hai. yeย Stri Dveshi"
He paused before adding,
"Yeh baat iske jeevan mein paristhitiyon ke anusaar badal bhi sakti hai."
The Pandit ji looked at the kundali once again and continued,
"Kintu... yadi iski shaadi hui, toh iske jeevan mein dhan, dhaanya, sampannata aadi ka aagaman hoga."
He smiled softly.
"Iski patni ati sundar hogi... aur woh isse bahut prem karegi."
He paused, looking at the little Raman.
"Aur ye... bahut se putron ka pita hoga."
The moment the Pandit ji finished speaking, there was a brief silence.
Savitri blinked, looking down at little Raman in her arms.
"Bahut se... putron ka pita?"
Raghuvir's eyes widened.
"Arey, Pandit ji! Abhi toh ye paida hua hai aur aapne iski shaadi aur bachchon tak ki kundali bata di!"
Aama lightly hit his shoulder.
"Chup kar! Pandit ji ko bolne de."
Raghuvir rubbed his shoulder.
"Arey, Amma..."
Savitri couldn't help but giggle weakly.
Aama looked lovingly at Raman, then smiled.
"Bhagwan kare, jo Pandit ji ne kaha hai sab sach ho. Hamara laal hamesha sukhi rahe."
Raghuvir looked proudly at his son.
"Bas... pehle bada toh hone do ise."
The Pandit ji looked at the kundali once again, his expression turning thoughtful.
"Putri ka bhi yog hai..."
The family listened carefully.
"Kintu... chaar putron ke baad ek putri ka yog hai."
He paused before continuing,
"Us putri ke aane se iske saare shatruon ka naash hoga... aur iska yash or kitri aur bhi badhega."
He gently looked toward the little baby.
"Bahut vishesh yog hai aapke bete ki kundali mein."
For a few moments, everyone just stared at the Pandit ji.
Four sons...
Then a daughter...
And a beautiful wife who would love their Raman dearly.
Raghuvir was the first to react.
"Arey baap re... chaar putra aur ek putri?"
He looked down at little Raman, then shook his head in disbelief.
"Abhi toh ye godh mein aaya hai aur aapne iski poori grihasthi bata di!"
Savitri giggled softly, looking lovingly at her baby.
"Chaar bete... aur ek beti..."
Her smile grew wider.
"Kitna bada parivaar hoga iska."
Aama's face lit up with happiness.
"Bhagwan kare, sab kuch aisa hi ho. Bahu bhi sundar ho, sanskaari ho... aur mere laal se bahut prem kare."
Raghuvir immediately looked at Aama.
"Amma, bahu sundar hogi toh theek hai... par pehle ye batao, itne saare bachchon ko sambhalega kaun?"
Aama gave him an unimpressed look.
"Tu sambhalega! Aur kaun?"
Raghuvir's face fell.
"Main?"
Savitri laughed softly.
"Ji haan... aap."
Everyone around them smiled and chuckled, while little Raman remained peacefully asleep in his mother's arms, completely unaware of the grand future everyone was already discussing for him.
Stay tuned, guys!
Raman ki kahaani abhi toh shuru hui hai...
